I’m Doug Cockerill, a long time writer and WordPress publisher. I that hope you find plenty to interest you here at Publish With WordPress.

I have enjoyed reading and writing since I was young, and have completed writing courses at Mitchell College (now part of Charles Sturt University in NSW, Australia) and at AWAI (The American Writers and Artists Institute).

I’ve published content with the WordPress platform for almost twenty years.

My professional writing experience includes working as an SEO copywriter and a ghostwriter for select clients. I wrote as Allan Cockerill professionally, but now use my first name, Doug, or Douglas Cockerill.

At Publish With WordPress, my aim is to document the building of a WordPress site from start to somewhere near the finish. I’ll be starting with getting a clear vision of the site, what it’s mission is, and how to achieve it.

I’m a writer first, so I will be documenting my trials and tribulations, and my wins. Being a writer first means that my developer skills come way down on the list, so I’m definitely not coming from the point of view of an expert.
